Using UPDC Services

This section details how users can access UPDC services, utilize our data management tools, and communicate service requests to our team via the support portal.

๐Ÿ” Applying for UPDC Access

To access UPDC services, users must first apply for an account. The application process ensures proper access control and resource allocation.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be affiliated with the University of the Philippines
  • Valid UP email address required
  • Research or academic project justification
  • Agreement to UPDC Acceptable Use Policy
Note: Applications are reviewed within 3-5 business days. You will receive an email notification once your application is approved.

Step 1: Initial Application

  1. Visit the UPDC User Portal
  2. Click "Apply for Access"
  3. Fill out the application form with your details
  4. Provide project description and resource requirements
  5. Submit the application

Step 2: Account Setup

Once approved, you will receive:

  • Account credentials via secure email
  • Access instructions for your requested services
  • Initial password (must be changed on first login)
  • Welcome package with documentation links

UPDC accounts are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.

Renewal Process

  1. Log into the User Portal 30 days before expiration
  2. Complete the renewal form
  3. Update project information if needed
  4. Confirm continued need for services
Important: Accounts not renewed within 30 days of expiration will be suspended. Data will be preserved for 90 days before permanent deletion.
